December, 2010 - Federal long term capital gains taxes to remain at 15% in 2011 for that portion of appreciation gain for Taxpayer's in the 25% and higher tax brackets.
March, 2010 - The federal health care reform legislation imposes a 3.8% medicare contribution tax starting in 2013 for certain taxpayers on investment income. The National Association of Realtors has some excellent information on this new tax here.
